SINOPSIS

El 29 y 30 de septiembre de 1941, el Sonderkommando 4a del Einsatzgruppe C, asistido por dos batallones del Regimiento de Policía Sur y la Policía Auxiliar de Ucrania, y sin ninguna resistencia de la población local, asesinó a tiros en el barranco de Babi Yar en el noroeste de Kiev a 33 771 judíos. La película reconstruye el contexto histórico de esta tragedia a través de imágenes de archivo que documentan la ocupación alemana de Ucrania y la década posterior. Cuando la memoria se convierte en olvido, cuando el pasado eclipsa el futuro, es la voz del cine la que articula la verdad.

On September 29-30, 1941, Sonderkommando 4a of the Einsatzgruppe C, assisted by two battalions of the Police Regiment South and Ukrainian Auxiliary Police, and without any resistance from the local population, shot dead in the Babi Yar ravine in the north-west of Kiev 33 771 Jews. The film reconstructs the historical context of this tragedy through archive footage documenting the German occupation of Ukraine and the subsequent decade. When memory turns into oblivion, when the past overshadows the future, it is the voice of cinema that articulates the truth.
