Basada libremente en la novela homónima del escritor chileno Hernán del Solar. Siendo su última obra completada, Ruiz creó una película sobre la idea de la muerte en sí misma, jugando con diversas dimensiones temporales. La historia en sí trata acerca de un anciano jubilado, Don Celso, quien esperando su muerte inminente, revive escenas de su infancia, a veces reales, a veces inventadas. El tema central del filme cuenta el paso del ensueño a la pesadilla.
Loosely based on the homonymous novel by the Chilean writer Hernán del Solar. Being his last completed work, Ruiz created a film about the idea of death itself, playing with various temporal dimensions. The story itself is about a retired old man, Don Celso, who while waiting for his imminent death, relives scenes from his childhood, sometimes real, sometimes invented. The central theme of the film tells the passage from dream to nightmare.
