Sinopsis Español:

Urs tiene una vida ocupada, criando solo a su hija adolescente Jette, cuidando de su hermano alcohólico y ayudando en el hogar de refugiados cercano. Exhorta a Jette a tomarse un año libre antes de la universidad y hacer trabajo social en América del Sur: Urs está decidido a que tenga una vida libre e independiente, en lugar de estar atrapada en las provincias como él. Pero Jette está dividida entre estar a la altura de las expectativas de su padre y estar con su novio Mario. En el último momento, en lugar de subir al avión para Costa Rica, se escabulle y se esconde en una caravana de los padres de Mario a las afueras del pueblo. Urs aprende una dolorosa lección sobre los límites de su tolerancia y finalmente se da cuenta de que no puede obligar a otras personas a ser felices. Una película sobre la vida como un espacio lleno de posibilidades… un espacio que muy rápidamente puede llegar a ser demasiado pequeño.

Sinopsis Inglés:

Urs has a busy life, bringing up his teenage daughter Jette alone, taking care of his alcoholic brother and helping out in the nearby refugee home. He urges Jette to take a year off before university and do social work in South America: Urs is determined that she should have a free, independent life rather than being stuck in the provinces like him. But Jette is torn between living up to her father's expectations and being with her boyfriend Mario. At the last moment, instead of boarding the plane for Costa Rica she sneaks back and hides in a caravan belonging to Mario’s parents at the outskirts of the village. Urs is taught a painful lesson about the limits of his tolerance and ultimately realises that he can't force other people to be happy. A film about life as a space filled with possibilities… a space which can very quickly become too small.
