Sinopsis Español:

Somi y su esposo se conocieron y se enamoraron mientras peleaban junto a los naxalitas, un grupo guerrillero comunista en pie de lucha desde la década de 1960 por los derechos de las comunidades tribales en India. Tras una década de lucha armada, la pareja desertó del movimiento y se entregó a la policía. Desde entonces se han esforzado por forjar una nueva identidad, educar a sus dos hijos y, eventualmente, reconciliar su violento pasado con el ferviente deseo de integrarse a la hostil sociedad de la India.

Sinopsis Inglés:

Somi and her husband met and fell in love while fighting alongside the Naxalites, a communist guerrilla group that has been fighting since the 60’s for the rights of the tribal communities of India. After a decade of armed struggle, the couple deserted the movement and surrendered to the police. Ever since, they have been striving to forge a new identity, educate their two children and eventually reconcile their violent past with the fervent desire to integrate into the hostile Indian society.
