Es originaria de Colonia, Alemania, donde comenzó su carrera en la industria de la música. Obtuvo una maestría en Presentation and Preservation of the Moving Image (Presentación y Conservación de la Imagen en Movimiento) por la Universidad de Ámsterdam y ha fungido como directora de programación del Festival Internacional de Cine de Guanajuato, GIFF,desde 2006, además de haber colaborado con el Festival de Cine de Abu Dhabi. Actualmente forma parte del equipo detrás de Qumra, iniciativa del Instituto de Cine Doha que brinda asesorías para proyectos internacionales de cine desde su desarrollo hasta su postproducción. Fue coordinadora académica de la Residencia de Cine Mexicano Pueblo Mágico en Tepoztlán, además de que ha comisariado muestras y participado en paneles y jurados en eventos mexicanos e internacionales, como en los festivales de cine de Guadalajara, Tous Ecrans en Ginebra, Berlinale Talents, Tokio y Sarajevo.

Born in Koln, Germany, she began there her career in the music industry. She has a Master's Degree in Presentation and Preservation of the Moving Image by the Amsterdam University and has been the Programming Director for the Guanajuato International Film Festival, GIFF, since 2006. She also collaborated with the Abu Dhabi Film Festival. She is currently part of the team behind Qumra, an initiative of the Doha Film Institute that offers consultancy services for international film projects, from their development until their postproduction stages. She was the academic coordinator for the Mexican Cinema Residency Program Pueblo Mágico en Tepoztlán, and she has curated film cycles and taken part in panels and juries in Mexican and international events, such as the Guadalajara International Film Festival, Tous Ecrans, in Geneva, Berlinale Talents, and the film festivals of Tokyo and Sarajevo.
