David Zonana es un director, editor y guionista mexicano, nacido en 1989, en la Ciudad de México. Cineasta autodidacta. Escribió y dirigió el cortometraje Princesa (2014), con el cual participó en diversos festivales alrededor del mundo, incluyendo el United Kingdom Film Festival, el Festival de Cine de Morelia y el Festival Internacional de Cine de Guanajuato. Luego de los exitosos cortometrajes Sangre Alba (2016) y Brother (2017), David debuta en largometrajes con la cinta Mano de obra (2020) que tiene el apoyo en la producción del aclamado cineasta mexicano, autor de películas como Daniel & Ana (2009) El último paciente: Chronic (2015), entre otras. Mano de obra relata una historia de albañiles y emplea como actores a albañiles de la vida real.

David Zonana is a Mexican director, editor and screenwriter, born in 1989 in Mexico City. He is a self-taught filmmaker. He wrote and directed the short film Princesa (2014), with which he participated in several festivals around the world, including the United Kingdom Film Festival, the Morelia Film Festival and the Guanajuato International Film Festival. After releasing two successful short films “Sangre Alba” (2016) and “Brother” (2017), he made his debut feature film “Mano de obra” with the acclaimed Mexican filmmaker Michel Franco —author of “Daniel & Ana” (2009) and “Chronic” (2015)— as a producer. “Mano de obra” is a story about construction workers and features real life workers as actors.
