Danae Elon es una premiada directora, productora y directora de fotografía de películas documentales. Su film más reciente, A Sister’s Song obtuvo el premio AIDC por innovación en el campo de la realización documental, así como el premio a Mejor Documental en, DOKER, Festival Internacional de Cine Documental de Moscú, así como un premio IRIS en Quebec por mejor fotografía. Entre las otras películas que ha hecho se incluyen Another Road Home (2004), Partly Private (2007), P.S. Jerusalem (2015) y Patriarch’s Room (2017), que se han presentado en TIFF, Berlinale, Tribeca, IDFA, Hot Docs, Melbourne, Human Rights Watch y muchos otros festivales internacionales. Sus películas se han presentado en cines comerciales de los Estados Unidos y Canadá y se han transmitido en canales como BBC, ARTE, Sundance Channel, Vision TV, Canal D, YLE, TV 2 Denmark, KAN Israel y Al Jazeera. Danae Elon is an award-winning documentary filmmaker, producer and cinematographer. Her latest film A Sister’s Song won the AIDC award for innovation in documentary filmmaking as well as Best Documentary at DOKER Moscow International Documentary film festival and an IRIS Award in Quebec for best cinematography. Her other films include Another Road Home(2004), Partly Private(2007), P.S. Jerusalem,(2015) and a Patriarch’s Room (2017). They have showcased at TIFF, Berlinale, Tribeca, IDFA, Hot Docs, Melbourne, Human Rights Watch, and many other international film festivals. Her films have been theatrically released in the US and in Canada and broadcast on the BBC, ARTE, Sundance Channel, Vision TV, Canal D, YLE, TV 2 Denmark, KAN Israel and Al Jazeera. Danae received a 2009 Guggenheim fellowship and won awards and fellowships from Tribeca FF and the Sundance Institute and others. She immigrated to Montreal with her family in 2013.
