Programador y crítico cinematográfico. Estudió con el crítico de Positif, Michel Ciment, y se graduó con una tesis sobre la película Crash, de David Cronenberg. Ha sido presidente de la International Cinephile Society durante veinte años, a lo largo de los cuales ha participado en festivales en todo el mundo y escrito sobre ellos. Ha sido parte de jurados en los festivales de cine Noir In, Las Palmas, Morelia, Gotemburgo, Cairo, Lecce, Estambul, San Sebastián, Tesalónica, Tromsø y Cannes. En 2018 se hizo programador de Giornate degli Autori, sección paralela del Festival Internacional de Cine de Venecia.

Programmer and film critic. He studied under Positif critic Michel Ciment and graduated with a thesis on David Cronenberg’s Crash. He has served as President of the International Cinephile Society for twenty years, and during that time he has been attending and writing about festivals around the world. He has served on juries at Noir In, Las Palmas, Morelia, Gothenburg, Cairo, Lecce, Istanbul, San Sebastián, Thessaloniki, Bilbao, Tromsø and Cannes film festivals. In 2018 he became a programmer for the Giornate degli Autori sidebar section of the Venice International Film Festival.
