Sixty years after the Revolution in Cuba, two teenage siblings live in their own dystopic universe. Linked by a private, unique emotional bond, they elaborate nonstop a detailed fiction that blurs the borders between their fantasy, the history of their country, and memories inherited from his father, a former combatant in the Angola War. The children live with him in a simple house, under living conditions that offer little material for the fertile imagination they feed. In the derivative of their childhood, the motivation behind their unsettlingly realistic show goes beyond a mere attempt to have fun and leads to an escape from their harsh reality. As they explore the limits of this theater of war in which they are the writers, the actors, and the audience, their innocence fades into an adulthood shaped by the representation of violence and the conflict between loyalty and betrayal.
